Barberry is an old-time favorite for use as a good, all purpose shrub. The abundant, thorny barbs that are this shrubs' trademark make it an excellent choice for use as a formidable barrier, or "natural fence". Easy to grow, and very heat / cold tolerant - they are a deciduous shrub choice that can be kept at most any size & shape through occasional trimming. We offer a few different Barberry selections that we hope you will find very attractive, as well as useful in your landscape plantings. Our Barberry is not shipped year round as our evergreen species are....they are only available for shipment during the growing season.

GOOD DWARF BARBERRY CHOICE Crimson Pygmy Barberry is a smaller, dwarf version of the original Red Barberry. Nice dark burgundy red leaves keep their color all the way from spring till frost. Crimson Pygmy has a neat, compact, round growth habit with very little maintenance at all.	NEW BARBERRY CULTIVAR WITH A SMALLER COMPACT GROWTH HABIT - GREAT COLOR!! Daybreak Golden Barberry is a brand new barberry cultivar which was developed for its nice tight compact growth habit, and rich buttery yellow foliage. New growth is a reddish orange color, maturing to bright golden yellow - fall color is a nice rich red. Works great as a low growing colorful accent, or foundation planting in front of taller species - or even as a low growing hedge.	PROVIDES GREAT COLOR CONTRAST Golden Barberry has super bright solid yellow foliage which retains its color well, except for in areas with lots of shade, where the leaves will then turn more of a lime green color. A very dense form of Barberry, and is relatively slow-growing when compared to other varieties of this species.

GOOD HARDY BARBERRY Green Barberry is an arching, dense shrub with broadly oval pale to mid green leaves turning brilliant orange-red in the fall. A very hardy shrub that is capable of withstanding a wide variety of soils & conditions.	TRADITIONAL FAVORITE YEAR AFTER YEAR Red Barberry is a widely used shrub for hedges, accents, and borders. Foliage has a purplish / red shade to it, along with a nice deep green base color. Very, very prickly thorny "barbs" are present on all the branches, which makes this plant a great natural barrier.	BEST BURGUNDY COLOR OF ANY BARBERRY Superba Barberry has very large rounded, slightly oval-shaped leaves are a beautiful dark burgundy purple. Much larger leaves than other red barberry. Very fast growth with a somewhat open growth habit that gathers good density through regular trimming when young.

VERY NICE FOLIAGE Rosy Glow Barberry is a deciduous, spiny shrub requiring sun or semi-shade and any but water-logged soil. It has reddish-purple leaves marbled pink and white. Marbled / variegated foliage look will be most intense & visible in full sun planting locations.	SLIGHTLY LARGER SIZE - OCCASIONALLY AVAIL. Rosy Glow Barberry is a deciduous, spiny shrub requiring sun or semi-shade and any but water-logged soil. It has reddish-purple leaves marbled pink and white.
