Picea glauca densata
One of the most tolerant of all the spruces - Can withstand wind, cold, drought, and crowding. Short, stiff, dark bluish/green needles. One of the best of all evergreens for growing in a container year round, even in the north. Uses include as a living, decorated Christmas tree, dense evergreen screen that will not get out of control, and also makes a great bonsai project. Takes ordinary soil, and loves full sun.
