Ilex x meserveae 'Blue Prince'

A Meserve hybrid holly that is the male clone match for Blue Princess Holly. A much improved version of Blue Boy Holly, and known as one of the best hybrid pollinators of all "blue" Hollies. Lustrous blue / green foliage with a broad, semi pyramidal growth habit. Considered as one of the hardiest of all the Meserve hybrid hollies, right along with Blue Princess. Likes full sun, but will accept fair amounts of shade as well. Somewhat moist, well drained soil is preferred for best results. Known to be an acceptable male pollinator for Blue Princess, Blue Girl, Blue Maid, and Blue Angel. One male will usually pollinate up to 6-8 females within a 30-40 ft diameter.
