Lagerstromia indica 'Chickasaw'

A true genetic dwarf which was introduced by the National Arboretumin 1999. Has nice bright pink blooms with very dark green foliage. The foliage of this dwarf crape wyrtle is slightly more elongated, and pointed at the the tips. Like all crape myrtles, it blooms in late summer to early fall - after most other plants in the landscape have already done their thing. Gives a wonderful splash of color to enjoy at just the right time. This variety has actually proven itself to be a fairly fast grower for a true dwarf variety.
