Overall Description
A wonderful Abelia with yellow / green variegation to its foliage. New growth has a very striking copper color, eventually maturing to the yellow / green variegation. Has a good amount of bright white, funnel shaped blooms from May until frost. Foliage is evergreen in warmer, southern climates - remains until ealry / mid winter in colder climates. Is a great all purpose flowering plant that is very easy to care for. Best color & growth in full sun, but will take part shade as well. Likes adequate moisture and soil that drains well.

Foliage Color & Texture: Very glossy leaves are a mixture of medium green with light green to yellow markings throughout. Yellow markings are enhanced by large amounts of full sun. New growth is a bronze color, and older foliage matures to a nice dark green.
Flower / Cone / Berry Facts: Has very, very fragrant long trumpet shaped flowers which occur in mid spring, and then really bloom very heavily again in late summer or early fall. Flowers are bright, pure white in color and are about 1" long in length.
Diseases / Insects: No serious threats or problems have been reported. Aphids can sometimes affect new, tender growth shoots.
Fertilization / Feeding : Application of general all purpose plant food / fertilizer can be beneficial in early spring, and again in mid July.
