Cryptomeria japonica 'Gracilis'
A very unusual, hard to find Japanese Cedar variety that is a very attractive choice for most any landscape where a medium / large sizes specimen is desired. Gracilis has a very nice medium green color with very, very little winter discoloration and a nice broadly pyramidal shape as it matures. Has a slightly more open growth habit than many other Cryptomeria cultivars, but with a good branching pattern. This variety is most commonly used as a specimen planting, and works well for any landscape where larger full sized specimens are just too large. Gracilis Cryptomeria is not too big, yet big enough to be a striking focal point in most any area.
