Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Kanaamihiba' ( Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Lycopodioides' )

A very uncommon variety of Chamaecyparis - a must for a true collector. Nice dark green foliage is arranged in fanlike sprays which are slightly threaded & somewhat pendulous with maturity. Has a rather mounding type growth habit, and assumes a nice pyramidal shape with age.This plant makes an excellent accent planting that is sure to draw interest due to its unusual foliage. Holds good green color through winter - prefers full sun, but will accept part shade as well. Moderate growth rate. Average soil with good organic content is suggested for best growth.
