X Cupressocyparis leylandii
A fast growing, pyramidal evergreen with bluish-green, feathery foliage, and reddish-brown, scaly bark. It's excellent for quick screens (can grow up to 3 feet per year), hedges and landscape groupings. Over the past several years Leyland Cypress has become one of the most popular choices for privacy screens in the country - especially in the southeastern U.S. Has also become a fairly popular choice for Christmas tree use in southern states.
