| BEAUTIFUL - HARD TO FIND VARIETY !!!
Thuja occidentalis 'Linesville'
Overall Description:
This wonderful globe shaped Arb is actually known by several names throughout the nursery industry - names such as 'Linesville', 'Lionsville'. 'Lyonville', as well as a particularly interesting name of 'Mr Bowling Ball' Arborvitae. No matter which name you choose to use, you are sure to have a very nice, low maintenance variety on your hands that will provide a very dense, soft textured touch to your landscape. Linesville keeps a good thick, globe shape with little to no trimming whatsoever - but light trimming or shaping will greatly increase / enhance this quality.....especially during the first few growth seasons. Foliage is very soft to the touch, and is a beautiful sage green color with a hint of blue grey added to it. No winter discoloration. And this variety also appears to be quite cold hardy and tolerates a fairly wide variety of soil conditions. This Arborvitae works very well in group planting, or as a foreground planting with larger upright evergreen as a backdrop. Also has been known to be used as low borders along paths, walkways, sidewalks, etc.
