PLANT DESCRIPTIONS & FACTS
Rosa 'Meiggili' - Peach Drift Rose - PLANT PATENT# 18542
The Peach Drift variety is one of the most prolific bloomers
of all the Drift Series of roses...but don't let that fact fool you. They are extremely prolific bloomers of soft peach colored flowers from early spring right on thru til hard frost. Drift Roses are a hybrid cross between full sized traditional groundcover roses, and miniature roses. Like all Drift Roses, the Peach Drift Rose has shown outstanding disease & pest resistance with little to no maintenance required. They have a gently spreading growth habit, and will even drape over rock walls if given the opportunity. They are "self cleaning" - meaning that there is no need to dead head, or remove expired blooms.......unless you just enjoy that kind of thing, lol.
We strongly suggest that all Drift Roses be pruned back in late winter / early spring after the last frost - to a height of approx 4" - 6". This type of pruning will allow for maximum new growth for the entire season, and maximum bloom capacity too. Also keeps an extremely nice dense, compact form to the shrub.
For optimum health, darkest foliage, and maximum blooms we also highly recommend the use of
with any kind of Rose.........but especially with the Knockout or Drift Roses!!
No need to do anything else to them for the entire year........just sit back & watch them do their thing!!

Diseases / Insects:

Fertilization / Feeding:
For maximum health & blooming, we highly recommend
for use with all of Roses....especially the Knockout & Drift Roses. However, either water soluble ( Miracle Gro, or equivalent ), or granular fertilizers ( Holly Tone is excellent ) are also good options. Most any granular fertilizers with a 6-12-12, or 10-10-10 ratio are also acceptable. Best to fertilize in early spring, and again in mid fall - avoid feeding standard chemical fertilizers during hot summer months, and directly after transplanting.
