PLANT DESCRIPTIONS & FACTS
Rosa 'Radtkopink' - Pink Double Knockout Ros
e
PLANT PATENT# 18507
Overall Description
The Pink Double Knockout Rose is a double flowering version of the original Knockout Rose, but with a fuller, more classic rose type of bloom. This knockout variety has a compact, fairly upright growth habit like most of the other knockout varieties, which makes it a great choice for single plantings, or use as a hedge / foundation planting. The blooms begin in early spring, and continue right on through until the first hard frost. Nice double blooms are a bright clear bubble gum pink color. The Double Knockouts have actually shown themselves to be slightly more cold hardy than the original version, and have the same disease & pest resistant qualities.
All of the Knockout Rose varieties feature great hardy foliage with excellent disease & pest resistance. These tough rose shrubs are very cold & heat tolerant, and extremely low maintenance. They are totally self cleaning - no need to dead head, or trim off expired blooms!!
We strongly suggest a yearly pruning ( in very early spring after the last hard frost ) to a height of approximately 12"-14" above the soil line. This yearly pruning will help these roses perform at their very best, and keep the foliage and blooms very dense. For optimum health, darkest foliage, and maximum blooms we also highly recommend the use of
POOPeas
with any kind of Rose.........but especially with the Knockout or Drift Roses!!

Best to fertilize in early spring, and again in mid fall - avoid feeding standard chemical fertilizers during hot summer months, and directly after transplanting.
