| Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Plumosa Aurea'
Plumosa Aurea is a very attractive chamaecyparis cultivar. Growth habit is basically semi-pyramidal to conical and, if given adequate room, will become a very nice sized tree with maturity. Foliage is very feathery and soft to the touch, with a nice green base color. Undersides of the foliage is marked with slivery white markings, and the foliage tips are a nice chartreuse yellow to bright lime green ( depending upon time of year ). Color is most intense, and obvious, during early to mid spring and then again in late fall. This Chamaecyparis can be used for anything from specimen plantings, to medium sized tree for shade, and can even be used effectively for property borders & screens. Very versatile, and very hardy as well!!!
