Cryptomeria japonica 'Monstrosa Nana '
A very interesting Japanese Cedar cultivar with a very dense, fluffy look to it - yet the foliage is rather stiff & rigid. Displays good green color during the warmer months, but will turn a slight coppery plum color in winter. Very dense foliage with a somewhat flattened, globose growth habit & shape. As this plant matures, it will even develop very stiff "clusters" of foliage throughout the plant - gives it a very curious, interesting look that is sure to draw attention. Works well as a small to medium sized accent planting, or as a dense foreground planting around larger conifers.
