Ligustrum japonicum 'Howardi' ('Frazieri')
Another wonderful Ligustrum which makes an excellent large hedge, as well as a nice colorful accent plant. Like most any Ligustrum, can be pruned / trimmed to maintain a desired shape or size. Has very dark, deep, glossy green leaves - new growth is bright yellow turning to green with age. Even older growth retains a splash of yellow on many leaves. During the spring / summer growing season, this Ligustrum has almost a two-toned look with the brilliant yellow new growth, combined with the dark, glossy green of older, mature foliage. Moderate growth rate & high disease resistance makes this evergreen shrub a perfect choice for any landscape. Prefers full sun, but will do well in part shade as well.
