BLACK HILLS SPRUCE - NEARLY MATURE SPECIMENS
In this photo, you can easily see the nice pyramidal shape of this variety. The specimen on the right is slightly older - evidenced by the slightly more pendulous lower branches.
BLK HILLS SPRUCE - BRANCH WITH MATURE CONES
In addition to the nice, full, blue green needles this spruce variety is a pfolific producer of rather small 2 1/2" - 3" cones that turn a rich coppery red when ripe in late summer & fall.
BLK HILLS SPRUCE - NEEDLE CLOSE UP
Good stiff blue green needles. You can also see the deep bud set forming for the upcoming seasons' growth.
