| EVERGREEN PREMIER SELECTION
Thuja plicata 'Green Splendor' - formerly known as Thuja plicata 'Hoyt'
Overall Description
A very fast growing arborvitae/thuja selection which is an excellent alternative to Green Giant. Was originally grown from seed provided from the Hoyt Arboretum, and was developed as a replacement soluton for Leyland Cypress. Growth habit is somewhat similar to Green Giant, but tends to be more slender & columnar. Also holds good green color slightly better than Green Giant through winter months. Makes an excellent privacy screen, border, or windbreak. This variety has become one of our personal favorites here at the nursery.
