A conical evergreen conifer with smooth, flaking reddish purple bark and upright, spirally arranged sprays of scalelike, aromatic, glaucous blue-gray leaves/needles that are flecked with white resin.

Blue Ice is an evergreen with very intense silvery blue foliage that is very aromatic when rubbed. Has flaking reddish purple bark when mature with a nice pyramidal shape. Slightly slower growth than Carolina Sapphire.

Not quite the same growth characteristics as the regular Leyland, but still quite rapid. Its center foliage is bright lime green turning to vibrant yellow/gold further out on the branches. Very dense, pyramidal shape.
