This page contains a listing of our most popular, and commonly used varieties for use in various styles of hedge plantings. Some are better suited for low growing, formal type hedges, while others can be maintained at much taller heights for medium to larger sized hedges.

Most all of these varieties can be shaped, or maintained in a fairly wide range of shapes, forms, etc through regular trimming & pruning. A few important factors to consider, or keep in mind, when looking at different options for use in hedge plantings are:

1) Foliage color & texture

2) Mature height of the hedge

3) Soil drainage properties at the planting location

4) Amount of sun exposure at the planting location. Certain varieties are much better suited for some particular types of locations better than others - i.e. shady locations, sandy soils, etc.
