Tulipa 'Innuendo' - Triumph Class Tulip

Overall Description

Innuendo is a Triumph Class Tulip, a hybrid class of Tulip which are known for their rather large, sturdy cup shaped flowers and overall hardiness. Innuendo produces very large, sturdy flowers that start as white at the base, and transition to a bubble gum pink color towards the top edges. Stems are very sturdy, and foliage is a deeper blue / green color than most Tulip varieties, which provides even more contrast for Innuendo's blooms to show their true beauty. A very popular Tulip for any flower area, great in mass plantings, and works very well for any cut flower use.

Best planted at a depth of 5" - 6" anytime in mid fall thru winter. Suggested planting is 4 - 5 bulbs per sq ft for good density once sprouted & blooming. Innuendo Tulips are mid spring bloomers, with blooming beginning in mid April in warmer zones - slightly later in colder areas of the country.

We offer our Tulipa 'Innuendo' Dutch Tulip bulbs at a per bulb price - be sure to check out the quantity discounts offered if you need several bulbs. Guaranteed to be of excellent size & quality.

--Fertilization / Feeding :
For maximum health & hardiness, we highly recommend a good grade granular ( preferably organic ) fertilizer / plant food for use with all of our plant species. We personally use, and recommend the Espoma line of organic plant foods, as they are super effective yet gentle enough to use on even the most delicate of evergreen species where fertilizer burn would normally be a major concern. However, a water soluble type plant food (Miracle Gro, or equivalent ) are also acceptable options. Other granular fertilizers with a 6 - 12 - 12, or 10 - 10 - 10 ratio can also be used - but we suggest using them at 1/2 - 3/4 strength to avoid any chemical burn issues to the root system of the plants. Best to fertilize in early spring, and again in mid fall - avoid feeding standard chemical fertilizers during hot summer months, and directly after transplanting. The Espoma Organic Plant Foods may be used at anytime.
