Tulipa 'Rembrandt's Favorite' - Triumph Class Rembrandt Tulip

Overall Description

It's not hard to see why this Tulip variety is named Rembrandt's Favorite, with its amazing color pattern. Pure white blooms are accented by deep maroon colored feathers / flames that have a slight bluish cast in certain lighting exposures. Known to be one of the sturdiest bicolor varieties, Rembrandt' Favorite reaches a mature height of about 20 - 22 inches. Once you see this variety in person, we believe it may very well be your favorite too!

Best planted at a depth of 5" - 6" anytime in mid fall thru winter. Suggested planting is 3 - 4 bulbs per sq ft for good density once sprouted & blooming. Rembrandt's Favorite Tulips are mid spring bloomers, with blooming beginning in mid April in warmer zones - slightly later in colder areas of the country.

We offer our Tulipa 'Rembrandt's Favorite' Tulip bulbs in a 4 pk, and guarantee them to be of excellent size & quality.

--Fertilization / Feeding :
For maximum health & hardiness, we highly recommend a good grade granular ( preferably organic ) fertilizer / plant food for use with all of our plant species. We personally use, and recommend the Espoma line of organic plant foods, as they are super effective yet gentle enough to use on even the most delicate of evergreen species where fertilizer burn would normally be a major concern. However, a water soluble type plant food (Miracle Gro, or equivalent ) are also acceptable options. Other granular fertilizers with a 6 - 12 - 12, or 10 - 10 - 10 ratio can also be used - but we suggest using them at 1/2 - 3/4 strength to avoid any chemical burn issues to the root system of the plants. Best to fertilize in early spring, and again in mid fall - avoid feeding standard chemical fertilizers during hot summer months, and directly after transplanting. The Espoma Organic Plant Foods may be used at anytime.
