Rosa 'Meizorland' - White Drift Rose - PLANT PATENT APPLIED FOR

Overall Description

One of the newer introductions to the Drift Collection of roses, White Drift Rose is a true groundcover rose with fully double, pure white flower blooms. Like all of the Drift Series roses, they are extremely prolific bloomers from early spring right on thru til hard frost. Drift Roses are a hybrid cross between full sized traditional groundcover roses, and miniature roses. White Drift Rose has shown outstanding disease & pest resistance with little to no maintenance required. They have a gently spreading growth habit, and are perfect suited for use along paths & walkways - or anywhere within a smaller sized garden. They are "self cleaning" - meaning that there is no need to dead head, or remove expired blooms.......unless you just enjoy that kind of thing, lol.

We strongly suggest that all Drift Roses be pruned back in late winter / early spring after the last frost - to a height of approx 4" - 6". This type of pruning will allow for maximum new growth for the entire season, and maximum bloom capacity too. Also keeps an extremely nice dense, compact form to the shrub.

--Fertilization / Feeding :
For maximum health & hardiness, we highly recommend a good grade granular ( preferably organic ) fertilizer / plant food for use with all of our plant species. We personally use, and recommend the Espoma line of organic plant foods, as they are super effective yet gentle enough to use on even the most delicate of evergreen species where fertilizer burn would normally be a major concern. However, a water soluble type plant food (Miracle Gro, or equivalent ) are also acceptable options. Other granular fertilizers with a 6 - 12 - 12, or 10 - 10 - 10 ratio can also be used - but we suggest using them at 1/2 - 3/4 strength to avoid any chemical burn issues to the root system of the plants. Best to fertilize in early spring, and again in mid fall - avoid feeding standard chemical fertilizers during hot summer months, and directly after transplanting. The Espoma Organic Plant Foods may be used at anytime.
